In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Province of Ontario announced a decision to postpone the 2020 Assessment Update
which would have seen MPAC update the assessed value of every property in Ontario. Instead, property assessments for 2021-2024 will continue to reflect the assessment used for the 2020 tax year, unless there has been a change to the property.
There is no fee to file a Request for Reconsideration with MPAC to verify that the assessed value is correct.
